The historic mansion at 2020 Jackson has been wonderfully updated and redesigned for the 2012 San Francisco Decorator Showcase beginning its month-long run April 29.

Designed by Julius Krafft, 2020 Jackson was built in 1902 by Wells Fargo Bank president Isaias Hellman as a wedding gift for his daughter, but it served instead as the temporary headquarters of Wells Fargo following the 1906 earthquake and fire. The 11,500-square-foot Classical Revival home has four levels with bay views from the formal dining room, large terrace and upper floors. Features include mahogany wood paneling, herringbone wood floors, box-beamed ceilings, and a double-curved grand staircase to the upper floors.

More than 30 top designers have transformed the more than 30 rooms, ranging from the cozy telephone room to the expansive modern kitchen as well as outdoor terraces with sweeping bay views.
