Compost, recycle, and throw away your bulky items with Gigantic 3!

Gigantic 3 provides large-scale recycling, composting, bulky item, and hazardous waste collection for San Francisco residents. The program visits a different San Francisco supervisorial district each month, allowing residents of that district to schedule a free drop-off. On Feb. 12, Gigantic 3 returns to Districts 2 and 3.

Clean City coordinates the Gigantic 3 with Recology SF, the Department of Public Works, the Department of the Environment, and Goodwill Industries.

Gigantic 3 events are free and run from 8 a.m. to noon. Crews are on site to help
at all events. You may drop off any large items (such as mattresses, yard waste, furniture, appliances, electronics, etc.). Residents only – no businesses – and please be prepared to show proof of San Francisco residence.

The following special waste items can also be dropped off at the Gigantic 3 site:
• Used motor oil and oil filters (please place used filters in a plastic bag – do not mix motor oil with anything!)
• All nonautomotive household batteries
• Fluorescent bulbs and tubes (broken tubes will not be accepted)

You are encouraged to call your garbage company at 415-330-1300 to make an appointment for this free drop off. The next Gigantic 3 event is on Feb. 12, 2011 from 8 a.m. to noon at the following locations:

District 2: Marina Green
East Beach parking lot, Marina Boulevard at Webster Street

District 3: Portsmouth Square
Walter U. Lum Place at Washington Street

This Gigantic 3 event is for District 2 and 3 residents only.
