MARINA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
MCA hosts inaugural Marina Family Festival on Sept. 24

September brings welcome summer sun and anticipation of weekends filled with adventure. The members of the Marina Community Association are excited to host a new family-friendly event, which we hope will be an annual tradition: the Marina Family Festival. District 2 Supervisor Mark Farrell joins us in supporting this community activity, and we have partnered with Jaffe Events, UVMG and others to put together an exciting day. The inaugural Marina Family Festival is Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Little Marina Green. Admission is free.

Family-friendly attractions will include bounce houses, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painters, balloon artists, music, gourmet food trucks, and local merchant-sponsored booths. There will be a beer and wine garden for the “big kids,” as well as other booths (still being added as this is written). So please mark your calendars, get the sunscreen and the water bottles ready, and come join us for a great day of fun with the whole family.

The MCA welcomes those interested in helping to sponsor the festival. Please contact Jennifer Consalvi at [email protected]. For more information on how to get involved with the event, please contact Adrian Goddard of Jaffe Events at [email protected].
