Officers became concerned when they heard and saw a car driving in an uncontrolled manner. They caught up to the car as it rolled through a stop light, turning right. They pulled the driver over and, because of his erratic manner, ordered him to turn off the car. They heard him say “no” and he told the officers to “chill out.” He finally complied with their orders; upon speaking with him, officers could smell the odor of alcohol on his breath. They suspected that he may have had too much to drink and ordered him out of the car to perform field sobriety tests. He failed those and a preliminary alcohol-screening test was given, where he tested over twice the legal limit. The driver was eventually
given a formal breath test, which he also failed. He was arrested for driving under the influence.
