Numerous officers responded to the report of a bank robbery that just occurred. Witnesses helped put this guy behind bars. One officer noticed the guy acting strangely before he committed the crime. The suspect had wrapped his head in a scarf right before entering the bank (what, it was cold that day?). THIEF CAUGHT RED HANDED
Dec. 10, 11:50 a.m.
Bay Street at Webster
The victim pulled up to his house and ran inside quickly to grab something. He left the window of his car rolled down because he planned to return to the car soon. In his haste, the victim left his wallet sitting on the center console. The victim peaked outside his window to check on his car and saw a strange person leaning through the open window of his car. He watched as the suspect took his wallet and walked away. The victim followed the suspect and called the police. When officers arrived, the victim directed them to where the suspect was now hiding. The officers took the suspect into custody and charged him with theft.

SECOND TIME’S THE CHARM
Dec. 13, 3 a.m.
Sutter Street at Van Ness
An officer was on patrol in the area of Sutter and Van Ness due to the prostitution problem that has plagued this area for years. Officer Hayes witnessed a known prostitute leaning into a car. The officer detained both parties, then advised them of the criminal activity and to leave the area. After several minutes passed, the officer saw the same male driving the same car in the same area of prostitution. This time she conducted a traffic stop. A search revealed that this gentleman did not have a valid driver’s license. He was then cited for the misdemeanor and his car was towed. This probably was not the way the suspect planned his night to end.
