BAR FIGHT HITS A DEAD END
June 5, 2:10 a.m.
Union Street at Buchanan
Numerous Northern Station officers responded to the call of a large bar fight. When officers arrived, the fight was still ongoing. It took repeated blasts from their siren to clear the crowd. Once clear, the officers could see a victim lying on the ground with facial injuries consistent with having been assaulted. Witnesses identified two subjects that were attempting to leave the scene as the main suspects in the assault. An officer detained the two while he sorted out what had happened. The two suspects were sitting on the sidewalk when they sprung to their feet and started running. Additional officers arrived and managed to chase the two into an alley with a dead end. They took one subject into custody but the other took off again. He was captured after attempting to hide under a table. Both suspects were taken to the station; the victim was taken to the hospital. At the station, one subject was charged with felony assault, the other was released.

A BRICK FOR YOUR IPAD
June 5, 3:20 p.m.
Gough Street at Vallejo
Officers were called to a house where a resident reported that someone had just broken into her home. The suspect had climbed her back fence, removed a brick from her garden, threw it through her rear glass door, and entered her house. She heard the glass breaking and ran downstairs screaming at the suspect. He saw her and fled the house, but not before stealing her iPad. Officers broadcast the suspect’s description and responding units detained a man matching the description not far from the scene. The victim was brought to where the suspect was detained and made a positive identification; he was arrested for the crime. A subsequent search of his backpack turned up the victim’s iPad in addition to some methamphetamine. He was charged with several felonies.

June 9, 2:30 p.m.

An employee said the suspect tried to open multiple accounts for cell phones, but did not pass their fraud check. When denied, the suspect became irate and threatened to harm the employee when the employee finished his workday. The employee was scared and felt that the suspect would carry out said threat. The officers placed the subject under arrest and booked him for the felonious threat.

NO NAME, NO LICENSE,
LOTS OF CRACK

June 15, 8:50 p.m.
Webster Street at Green
Officers made a traffic stop on a car that failed to stop for a stop sign. They asked the driver for his license, and he said he didn’t have it in his possession. He then provided the officers with a name. The officers could not verify the subject’s name and he gave conflicting information. He was taken into custody for the driving violation. While searching for identification, the officers found a large amount of cash in the glove box of the car. Additionally, they found a large quantity of crack cocaine packaged for sale. The subject realized the gig was up and provided the officers with his correct information. His license had been suspended. He was arrested for possession of drugs for sale.
