June 6 – Low-Cost Rabies, License & Microchip Clinic: The S.F. Veterinary Medical Association hosts a low-cost rabies clinic from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Rabies vaccination charge is $6. Dog licenses can be purchased at ACC’s front counter with proof of dog’s rabies vaccination. Microchipping is free for City residents with proof of dog’s licensing; $20 per chip for nonresidents.

June 17 –
Free Spay/Neuter Clinic: The Peninsula Humane Society teams up with ACC to offer free pet fixes for needy S.F. pet owners every third Thursday of the month. Pets will be accepted from 8–9 a.m. on a first-come-first-served basis.

June 6 – Dog Day on the Bay: Treat your pooch to a one-of-a-kind nautical adventure specially designed by Hornblower Cruises! Enjoy spectacular views, gourmet cuisine, and impeccable service. June 13 & 27 – Mobile Adoption Outreach: Can’t make it to The SF/SPCA? Their Mobile Adoption Outreach program will bring adoptable pets to Catnip & Bones (2220 Chestnut Street) at 10:30 a.m. Stop by to visit the adoptable animals and receive free animal care and behavior advice.

Summer Animal Camps: There are two unique camps available: Animal Friends Camp and Animal Heroes Camp. Both utilize experiential and service learning to teach kids how to train and care for animals, be responsible guardians, and how to make our community a safer place for all animals. Three parallel, fun-filled camp sessions are offered weekly available for children entering grades one through eight in the fall of 2010.
