One city, many SAFE neighborhoods

San Francisco SAFE (Safety Awareness For Everyone) is excited to announce their fourth annual gala, “One City, Many SAFE Neighborhoods,” which will be held at the Fort Mason Conference Center on Thursday evening, May 26, 2011. SAFE is celebrating 35 years of crime prevention education and public safety services. The gala will honor community members and police officers who have made outstanding efforts in crime prevention and public safety. A new program will also be launched, Community Watch, which will bring residents and businesses together to promote stronger and safer neighborhoods.

SAFE Community Awards

Nominations for the 2011 SAFE Community Awards were made by members of the public. Neighbors, merchants and police officers who have made outstanding contributions to crime prevention and public safety were nominated as models for our community. Kirk Yin (Bayview Station), and the Housing Unit from Northern Station (Sgt. James Aherne and officers Jeff Aloise, Antron Barron, David Colclough, and Scott McBride).
