All About Geocaching

In a recent article for Laker/Lutz News, our sister publication from Florida, staff journalist Mike Camunas writes on the tradition of geocaching, the Pokémon Go before Pokémon Go, if you will. An outdoor activity meant for exploring and sharing treasures, geocaching has been loved by adults and youth alike for decades. 

“Geocaching — it’s the outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a GPS or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, or caches,” writes Camunas. “Not only has it existed for decades, but geocachers are still going strong, with more than a million known in the U.S. alone, as of 2021.”
