Crime Update

The number of crimes largely held steady year-to-year for the period Sept. 15–Oct. 15, according to the San Francisco Police Department’s Crime Dashboard for Northern Station. Homicides were up from 1 to 2; incidents of arson increased from 4 to 7,  assaults were up 50 percent from 22 to 33, while robberies fell from 29 to 24, motor vehicle thefts dropped from 66 to 62, and larceny thefts decreased slightly from 567 to 549; reports of rape were unchanged.
