Perseids Meteor Shower

August 11th, 2012

Saturday, Aug 11, midnight–dawn
Considered one of the best showers each year, the Perseids produces about 60 meteors per hour. Look toward the Perseus constellation in the northern sky, and watch for the meteors to streak across this short summer night with only a little interference from the waning crescent moon.
