Ron Conway honored with Commonwealth Club’s Distinguished Citizen Award

Angel investor Ron Conway’s investments include everything from Google to PayPal, so he has made a lot of other investors a lot of money. But Conway is also known for philanthropic support, including Packard Children’s Hospital, campaigns for a number of medical needs, and working with San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee to create an organization to attract new high-tech jobs to the City.

For such a resume, Conway is one of the honorees at The Commonwealth Club of California’s 109th Anniversary and 24th Annual Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner, the nonprofit’s main fundraiser of the year, which will be held on April 18. His fellow honorees include Presidio Trust Chairman Nancy Hellman Bechtle, U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, and USCF Chancellor Dr. Susan Desmond-Hellmann.
