If you’re a fan of true-crime documentaries, then you’re going to love Netflix’s new offering, “Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields.” This documentary explores the unsolved murders that took place near a stretch of oil fields in Texas between 1971 and 1983. This series is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat as it unravels one of the most confounding mysteries in modern American history.

This limited series is hosted by renowned crime journalist Bill Whitaker and features interviews with law enforcement officers and other officials who were involved with the case. In addition, family members of the victims are featured throughout the series, shedding light on what these tragedies meant for their loved ones. “Crime Scene: The Texas Killing Fields” also includes archival footage from when these crimes were reported on in real time back in the ’70s and ’80s.  For those unfamiliar with this cold case, this documentary provides an excellent overview of what happened—and why so many questions remain unanswered today. Read the full article on our sister site, The Greensheet, here.
