The shorter aquathlon features a 750-meter swim and a five kilometer run; the triathlon course includes a 1.5-mile swim from Alcatraz, an 18-mile bike ride to the Great Highway through Golden Gate Park, and an eight-mile run through the Golden Gate Recreation Area.
