In his latest piece for Laker/Lutz News, Mike Camunas reports on Colin Bolinger, a dedicated youth basketball coach in Florida who did his best to keep kids active and on the court in a time of Covid shutdowns. Prior to the pandemic, he was able to rent out local gyms and other spaces for his teams to practice in. Once that was no longer a possibility, he met the challenge face on and opened up a dedicated place of his own: Hoops Heaven, an indoor training facility for basketball players of all skill levels.
“Finally, it just came down to a desperate need to get a place for the kids, so I opened this place in October,” said the former Indiana State shooting guard. “There is nothing like this around our area, nothing like that out here in Zephyrhills, and I’ve seen the huge growth in Wesley Chapel and just knew that there would be kids coming to me for basketball.”
